Philippe Joly

Philippe Joly is a French entrepreneur born in Russia in 1976. He grew up in France, where he arrived as a baby, but it is in Ireland that his entrepreneurial journey started in 2005, when he left his managerial job to start his first business.

He is polyglot in many languages and a well-travelled entrepreneur, whose expertise and passion for mobile and web technologies gets him regularly solicited for consultancy work all over the world.

Philippe has been involved in many projects in the digital space including mobile apps, web portals, social networks, location-based services, social media, backup services, online video, mobile web and mobile security.

He was nominated for various entrepreneurial awards and won the Mobile Messaging Award in 2011 for his latest venture, SafeBox.mobi, which attracted over one million users in just a year and is sold worldwide by the largest mobile operators and content providers.

Philippe is the author of "Potemkin, Inc." a non-fiction business book about the value of perception for start-ups and small businesses.
