Dr. Roger W. Hite

Dr. Roger Hite (1943-) was born in San Francisco. He received his Ph.D. degree in Speech/Communications from University of Oregon (1971) and taught at Idaho State University and University of California, Davis before changing careers and beconing a hospital administrator. He enjoyed a 30 year career in health care, retiring in 2005 after serving as COO for 20 year at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA. He served for six terms on the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program.

Dr. Hite now lives in Eugene, Oregon where he resides with his wife Debby, their Bernese Mountain Dog, Nike, and their Maine Coon Cat, Natasha. He is an avid writer who has over 25 titles available through Amazon.com. He also is a frequent guest contributor to the editorial page of the Register-Guard newspaper in Eugene, Oregon.
