Kirk Lindo is the creator, artist and publisher of The VAMPEROTICA and VAMPRESS LUXURA comic series, one of the longest-running vampire characters in comics history.
In 1994, Kirk Lindo launched his highly successful vampire anthology comic, Vamperotica. The comic featured the first appearance of Luxura, The Ultimate Vampire Queen. Luxura's unique hair, voluptuous curves, and insatiable thirst for the blood of men and women instantly captivated readers and built a worldwide fan base.
The series also featured an amazing collection of genre-expanding vampire stories. Lindo's visionary approach to comic publishing during the '90s built the Luxura/Vamperotica brand by expanding the properties into other mediums, including magazines, movies, statues, trading cards, and music.
The original Vamperotica comic series ran for 50 issues, and Vamperotica #1 has an unprecedented 3 printings, an impressive accomplishment from an independent publisher competing in the same market as the big companies. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of The Vampress Luxura's first appearance in the pages of Vamperotica #1
Kirk began creating and publishing comics in the 4th grade when he would draw on pages of loose-leaf paper, fold them, staple them, and share the comics with his friends. This lifelong passion led him later in life to become a student at the School of Visual Art in Manhattan, New York, where he had the rare privilege of learning sequential art from comics legend, Will Eisner.
After college, Kirk held executive positions as an Art Director, Marketing Manager, Editor In Chief, and Senior Vice President of Product Development for several advertising and publishing firms.
In addition to his work as a comic book artist, Lindo is also a published writer, having penned numerous stories and scripts for various comic book titles. His storytelling prowess complements his artistic talents, allowing him to craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences.
Beyond his creative endeavors, Lindo is also an entrepreneur with a keen business acumen. He has founded his own publishing company, providing a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their work and reach a wider audience.
