Joan Harthan

Joan was born in Saddleworth in the West Riding of Yorkshire, UK. After gaining a PhD in Chemistry, she moved to the East Midlands to take up a post at the University of Nottingham, where she worked as a lecturer/educational consultant for many years. She is now living back in Saddleworth after taking early retirement from academia in order to concentrate on writing fiction.

She has run courses on dream analysis since 1995 and has been dream journaling for over twenty five years. As a member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD), she is a regular contributor to the IASD magazine Dreamtime and has made presentations at international conferences in Europe and America.

She is trained in the Harner method of Shamanic Counselling.
