Deanna Cottrell

Deanna Cottrell was born on a small dairy farm in rural New York State in 1940. She married right out of High School, moved to Vermont and within the five years following, gave birth to four children. Always interested in horses, she began raising and training horses. She had drawn and painted since she was a small child but began to paint in earnest as a young adult trying to find an escape from the fatique of being a parent. She has sailed extensively in the Carribean, has traveled in her motorhome for seveal years with her dog, has always been interested in the natural world and spirituality, espcially Native American studies, and she has lived through and written about several life changeing events. She now divides her time between Hartford, NY and The Villages, FL. where she continues to paint, write and bike.
