He was born in Tangier when it was an international city. He completed his studies in Morocco and Spain. In 1955, he joined the International Court of Tangier where he was active in the criminal and juvenile Courts. In 1960, after Morocco gained its independence, he moved to New York. He joined the United Nations and then he worked for the Government of the Congo. In 1970 he moved to the private sector working in various international trade activities until 1992 when he moved to Nashville, TN where he spends his time writing, sculpting in stone (a lifelong hobby) and volunteering. While in Morocco, he was the finalist of the Spanish prestigious poetry award “Gracian” and published several short stories in the Spanish literary magazine “Insula”. He is the author of over one hundred short stories and in 2005 he published “Memories of the Spanish Civil war.”
