Myron Turner

Minister Myron Turner was born in 1986 to Michael and Patricia Turner in Chicago, Illinois. All throughout his childhood his parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and many other relatives noticed that he was different. At an early age his mother, Patricia noticed that he struggled with his grades in school. She felt prompted to get him tested for a learning disability. Later he was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder.

(A learning disability that shortens the attention span and focus ability of an individual) He continued with school but never felt the same now that he was labeled. At the age of 13 he started to take more of an interest in church and the Bible. Ironically it was also around this same time where he fell into a deep depression. It was during those years that God began to speak to him about his life. From the ages 13 -17 he slipped in and out of depression, lingering back and forth with the thought of suicide. He attempted suicide three different times in three different ways. (Suffocation, blade to the wrist, and hanging himself)

However, God stopped all three attempts! At the age of 17 the Lord showed him a vision of him speaking to a large crowd of young people. It was then when God spoke the words “Myron I want you to revolutionize the youth”. With this new commission on his life he sensed a new sense of purpose but still struggled with depression in private. It wasn’t until he encountered the Holy Spirit at his job that everything began to change. “I had an encounter with God at “Jiffy Lube oil change shop!” It was then when he began to volunteer more at church in the youth groups. The name of the church he belonged to was called St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where the Pastor was the late Bishop Willie L. Jordan. In the year 2003 he heard God tell him to write a book to the youth. God told him to name it “Soldiers of The Lord: Revolution of the Youth”. He wrote and published his first book in 2007 with Author-house Publishers. In the same time period he was licensed in the ministry by Bishop Jordan. He served as a minister to the youth for 2 years before God called him to do more youth ministry at Living Grace Church in Lynwood, Il under Pastor Phillip France. He did this for another 2 year period until God called him overseas. Recently he has traveled to Auckland, New Zealand as a volunteer in the United Maori Mission. It was there in Auckland where he met and married his wife, (South African born) Makhosi Peleha.

Today Myron and Makhosi Turner travel where ever the Spirit leads them to help people discover who they really are. The main focus of their ministry is to break the chains of religion and introduce people into a real authentic relationship with God.

(Minister Myron is the founder of Soldiers of The Lord Publishing LLC and also is the author of two books. “Soldiers of The Lord: Revolution of The Youth” and “Relationship is based on Revelation.”)
