Kingsley R Jones PhD

Kingsley Jones was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1963. Growing up in a family of strong artistic, religious and philosophical interests he turned in the exact opposite direction to mathematics, physics and finance. After some years in science, he became interested in the extreme psychological swings of financial markets and the business of writing about them. He was particularly fascinated by how wrong crowds could be about seemingly obvious things. This created a deep interest in the Art of Contrary Thinking as a practical antidote to the more popular Way of the Lemming. When not writing, he operates a Sydney-based global research advisory and applies mathematics to develop trading algorithms and market visualization systems. He lives by the water with his marvelous wife and a menagerie of mischievous parrots intent on remodeling his apartment.
