Abdur Rab

Abdur Rab is a professional economist and spent decades as a researcher and public policy analyst. He has served Bangladesh and Pakistan governments and worked for various international organizations, including the World Bank. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Dhaka University and a doctorate from Harvard.

Abdur has written three successive editions of a book on Islam, the latest of which is titled "Rediscovering Genuine Islam: The Case for a Quran-Only Understanding." This book provides a comprehensive look at Islam in light of the Quran from a modern progressive perspective. He has co-authored the new book "Toward A Quranic Understanding of the Divine... ." His numerous articles on Islamic topics can be read on his website http://quranonly.com/. A Bangladeshi-born American, Abdur currently lives with his family in Houston.
