Susan Berston

SUSAN BERSTON is second-generation business professor at City College of San Francisco, where her dad taught for close to 5 decades. She teaches introduction to business, supervision and management and small business.

Her professional career was spent as a sales and marketing executive with printer R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company. Her career began as a corporate banking officer with Union Bank in San Francisco. Berston is a hyper-engaged student mentor and faculty advisor for numerous on-campus business clubs, including Alpha Beta Gamma and Kiva Microfinance.

Berston has been honored with an Award of Excellence from the Office of Student Affairs and has served on the Executive Council of City College of San Francisco's Academic Senate. She is on the Board of Directors of the City College of San Francisco bookstore and serves as an archivist for the Academic Senate Executive Council. She received her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the Academy of Management and the Text and Academic Authors Association.
