I am Scott Ward, Author of "OPERATION HERKULES". I am an IBM Software Group Manager by day, Alternate History author by night. A life long interest in history led me to the story of the Mediterranean island of Malta in the late 1990's and I quickly came to see the Axis failure to capture the island as one of our enemies major strategic blunders in WW2. I read all I could find on the siege of Malta from its desultory beginnings with the Italian entry to the war in the spring of 1940, right through the lifting of the siege in late 1942. Eight years of research and writing were followed by three years trying to get published and I am so grateful to Amazon for this AMAZING opportunity to share my work with others of similar interests. "OPERATION HERKULES" is the first in a series of Alternate History novels titled "The Malta Fulcrum Series" which start with the question: What might have been different had the Germans and Italians taken Malta while they had the chance? Would the North African campaign have progressed differently had Rommel gotten more of the supplies sent to him? Might he have succeeded in capturing Cairo, the Nile River Delta and Suez Canal? If he had, what then? Starting with "OPERATION HERKULES" I plan to re-write the history of the 2nd World War. In "THE GATES OF VICTORY", sequel to "OPERATION HERKULES" I will alter and refight the 1st Battle of El Alamein from this premise. I hope you will enjoy "OPERATION HERKULES" and stay with me through the series!
