Joanna I. Lewis is an associate professor of science, technology, and international affairs at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She has been conducting research in China on renewable energy technology and climate change policy for almost two decades. She advises multiple foundations, governmental and non-governmental organizations working on energy and climate issues in China and was a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fifth Assessment Report.
