Michael Hadfield

Michael Hadfield was born in Liverpool, but spent the first five years of his life in Germany, where his father was serving with the Royal Artillery. His parents eventually returned to Liverpool where he lived until he was 22. His first job was working for the Meteorological Office in Plymouth, followed by 15 years as a programmer/analyst in Manchester back in the days when tape drives were the size of wardrobes and 128K of memory was state of the art and required air-conditioning to keep cool.

Michael currently lives in Cheshire. He now works as a hypnotherapist and author, specialising in weight loss and anxiety related problems. As well as seeing clients on a one to one basis for help with spiritual development, and treatment for 'real-world' problems, he produces a range of self-help hypnosis CDs. Among his interests are: photography, reading, writing, paranormal investigation, and gardening. For five years he was a regular contributor of articles and photographs to the magazine Organic Gardening, and is one of the organisers of the annual Paranormal Week event run by Halton Libraries.
