Carl B. Olsen

Growing up in London, England and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, Carl B. Olsen worked for many years in British Columbia's pulp and paper industry.

In 1993 he became actively engaged in the mass civil protests against logging in Vancouver Island's Clayoquot Sound region. Media coverage of his "industry insider" whistle blowing statement ended the main licence-holder's claims that it didn't pulp old-growth trees from the region, a retraction which proved to have international repercussions.

Carl has two grown children and a grandson, and lives with his wife on British Columbia's scenic Sunshine Coast.

Earthwhistle! is his first novel.
