Michael Bernard

Born 1936, a World War II childhood in Glasgow, Scotland. An interesting parenthood of a Jewish mother brought up in her formative years in France, and a Church of England adhering father, ex-officer in the Artillery Regiment in France during WW I, whom she met on a train going to France and divorced in the late 1930's. I have always been interested in France and have had a house there for many years.

I spent many years in commerce and farming, finalising my career in Management Consultancy assisting large companies negotiate Grants from the UK Government to increase or sustain employment in Scotland.

On retirement I translated some books from French into English and wrote articles and books for publication. My first full page was in the Glasgow Herald in 1992 on how to manage world trade and finance.

I wrote my books out of self-interest, just to show myself that I could. I hope you enjoy them.
