J P Galuska

JP found the the inspiration to write The Emily Stokes Series from a quote by Thoreau, printed on a simple book bag, given to her as a gift by her children, purchased at a school thrift sale: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." Undeniably, her dream was to become an author.

Although graduating with a master's degree, J P was far from being a literary expert when she began writing A Kiss for Emily. In fact, she'll be the first to admit, "Reading through the first manuscript was more like torture than paranormal." Encouraged by friends, she read even more books about writing, joined a local writers' group, and then revised, revised, revised. Three years later, her first novel in The Emily Stokes Series was published, which became nominate for best in YA Paranormal by the Paranormal Romance Guild (PRG). Two years later, her second novel, A Gift for Emily, was also nominated for Best YA Paranormal.

With so many genres to choose from, JP was naturally drawn to paranormal. Growing up in a 1929 home in SE Minnesota, J P loves to tell retell the tale of the rattling doorknobs and shuffling footsteps making their way up the the old wooden attic steps. Eager to giver her readers a story they've never read before, JP states, "Come and discover the other side of paranormal."
