Janell Rhiannon

Janell Rhiannon is the author of The Homeric Chronicles, a six-book adult epic fantasy series that blends Greek mythology with political intrigue, ruthless ambition, and the brutal realities of the Trojan War. With a background in history and a deep obsession with Homeric texts, Rhiannon brings the ancient world vividly to life. Her writing blends historical realism with epic storytelling, giving equal weight to heroes and heroines, and to the haunted souls left in war’s wake.

Inspired by Homer and driven by a love of myth, she weaves new songs from old threads to give ancient voices new breath. When she’s not writing, she’s teaching, podcasting about mythology, playing with her dogs, or attempting to master Halo so she can hang out with her eldest grandson.
