Bill B. Flint Jr.

Bill Flint was born and raised in Pulaski, Virginia before beginning a business career that has spanned forty years. During his career he has lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin and his current residence of Goshen, Indiana.

His experience includes 28 years in senior management positions including regional sales manager, product manager, sales manager, vice president of sales and marketing and executive vice president. Bill also spent twelve years as president of two separate companies; one with annual sales of $30 million, three manufacturing facilities and another with sales of $125 million and ten manufacturing facilities located in the United States, Mexico and Europe.

In April 2010 at age 61, Bill's job was eliminated and he faced what he now calls his, "Ok God what now moment," a time he describes as; "when you find out how strong your faith in God really is, and do you have the perseverance needed to stay the path."

Then after much prayer Bill took a step of faith to open a management consulting firm, (a dream of many years) something he would have never done before with his great job and salary because it wasn't worth the risk. But, with the loss of his job, he believed that God had now opened a door for him to take that "faith walk." So, with the support of his wife of 31 years, Kay, they began a new journey in this thing called life.

So, fast forward to July 2010 and with his firm, Flint Strategic Partners, operating successfully, he felt it was time for him to pursue another dream of his, to write a book on leadership. With leadership in crisis around the world and people losing trust and faith in their leaders, Bill wanted to write on what he felt was the answer to the leadership problem, the need for servant leaders, their principals and philosophy. At age 62 he wrote, The Journey To Competitive Advantage Through Servant Leadership, which was released on November 28, 2011.

Bill said he wrote the book to share his own leadership journey of moving from a selfish to servant leader, the struggles and stress leaders face and provide guidance based on his own experiences to help organizations develop leaders who build and nurture an environment of caring, mutual trust and respect between themselves and those they have been called to lead.
