Stephanie DeBry

Stephanie DeBry was born in 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up near Atlanta during the years that the capital city was rapidly expanding to absorb all surrounding areas. Ms. Debry graduated from Berry College in Mt. Berry,Georgia, with a B.A. in English and a minor in Secondary Education in 1969, and went on to get her Master's Degree in English and American Literature at the University of Georgia, finally completing it in 1976. After marrying and moving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, in 1971, Ms. Debry taught public school intermittently, was a fulltime wife and mother for many years and finally worked as an adjunct English instructor for ten years. Ms. Debry worked as a reporter for the local newspaper for a while, and wrote as a hobby for many years before finally publishing her first book, "The Shoebox," in the fall of 2011.
