I live in Fredericksburg, in the heart of the Texas hill country, where if you're not having fun, it's your own fault. I have a day job as a financial advisor, but I spend a good deal of time on trails and rivers. I have a lot of varied experiences in my life, many of which shows up in my stories in one way or another.

I characterize my stories as modern westerns, even western romance. The people are Texans; strong, independent, and honest (for the most part!). I am currently working on Enchanted Rock White, the third in a series set at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area in Texas. The first two novels in this series are Enchanted Rock Red and Enchanted Rock Blue(s). I also have the first of a series set in far west Texas at Davis Mountains State Park, Fort Davis Rocks. The protagonists are all Texas State Park Police Officers. You might not even know parks have a police officer, because their work is more often that of a park ranger.

I started a novel set in Thailand in April of 1975; the crew of a US Air Force KC-135 gets into an unorthodox mission with drama and danger as the government of South Vietnam falls to the North. I was not there, I was at Rickenbacker AFB Ohio waiting for WW III by a -135, but some of my friends were, and I know the story.
