Katherine MK Mitchell

Becoming a member of the Writers Guild of America, West, was a huge achievement. One cannot join without having sold works to a signatory of the Guild. Until I moved from Los Angeles, I was a proud member under the name MK Landstein, having written for television. I have also received paid options of three of my original screenplays. I will be writing under the name Katherine MK Mitchell in the future and not MK. Hope you will find my next books easily!!

But first, under MK my published works are: YOURS FOREVER . . . MAYBE and WASTED . . . MAYBE, each a romantic adventure fiction. My third women's novel published as Katherine [MK] Mitchell, is entitled SHELBY'S WAY . . . MAYBE. This is a sweet story about finding love and finding yourself. Another romance and adventure novel, CARNAL WOMAN - A TRAVELOGUE, is in the making. Also wrote THE ISLAND, a detailed character and story bible for a television serial which almost materialized as a daytime soap and which will become a novel. A SKIRT AND A SMILE is a collection of sexy short stories. My Memoir depicting the true story of the many lives I have lived, was published in October of 2023. Entitled FROM BUDAPEST TO HOLLYWOOD: Searching for the Promised Land, it is an easy reading colorful accounting of the struggles, dangers, fun, mistakes, victories and all that comprised the self-searching leading me to becoming the best person I wanted to be.

Writing, for me, is not a hobby but a full-time passion since childhood. I have won First Prize for a short story; have had an entertainment column in a specialized national newspaper originating from California. As a columnist I interviewed with and developed a Profile of hair styling superstar, Vidal Sassoon; also Israeli fighter pilot hero Lou Lenart; Yoel Sharr international entertainer and night club owner; Dr. Dan Perry, a leader in nature conservancy, Tommy Vig and Misha Segal, outstanding composers and musical talents.

I am proud to say that I am always aiming to reach higher literary levels which is apparent in my memoir, FROM BUDAPEST TO HOLLYWOOD: Searching for the Promised Land.
