People may wonder at my interest in and use of the term "weird". Am I weird? In my opinion it's obvious that all of us are "weird" in some sense of the word. The way I use it is to stress the point that by shifting the angle a bit one opens up to new readings and understandings which is what it's all about in life as in literature.
And, by the way, I, who holds a master degree from the University of Copenhagen, started out as a literary critic and essayist at a large newspaper. However, from the very beginning my favorite subjects, beside literature, were feminism, history, and the writings of Karen Blixen/Isak Dinesen.
I like the short story genre which gives an output that goes with my wish to furnish a message, so to speak, in my writings. Short and concise is the key to understanding as I see it and that goes for all kinds of subjects in realism as well as in spooky tales.
