EILEEN DASPIN is an award-winning journalist and magazine editor who reports on a broad range of lifestyle subjects. She is an editor at ThomsonReuters; has worked at W magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Conde Nast Portfolio, the New York Post and The American Lawyer; and is the co-author of the cookbook Diary of a Tuscan Chef with her husband, chef Cesare Casella. Her writing has also appeared in the New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, In Style, Food & Wine, Departures, and other publications. To research The Manhattan Diet, she spent more than a year interviewing over 100 women and nutrition and fitness experts. She also took up running, tried pole dancing and ate a lot of leafy greens. She lives and still diets in Manhattan.
