BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH

Alba was born in the town of Orense, Spain (1934), but she grew up by the legendary river Limia, called by the Romans, River of Oblivion. However, she keeps vivid memories of this beautiful valley, now under water.

She lived with her granny in a lonely house, had to walk a long way to school, and study by candlelight.

Eventually, she graduated in Modern Languages, became a Teacher Trainer, and PhD. in English Philology.

Alba was an unusual, creative, amusing, absent-minded teacher. She enjoyed teaching and her pupils, learning.

BIOGRAFÍA EN ESPAÑOL

Alba Paz nació en Orense, pero creció en las márgenes del legendario Limia, al que los romanos llamaban Río del Olvido, porque quienes lo cruzaban perdían la memoria. Pese a haberlo cruzado muchas veces a nado y en barca, Alba guarda vivas memorias de este hermoso valle ahora sumergido, que narra en uno de sus libros.

Vivía con su abuela en un caserío aislado y a los 10 años iba sola a la escuela. El camino era largo y solitario. Volvía al anochecer, corrió huyendo de un asesino, y por temor a los fantasmas.

Licenciada en Lenguas Modernas, Formadora de Formadores de inglés y doctora en Filología Inglesa. Enseñó en primaria, secundaria, en la Universidad y en un Centro de Profesores.

Fue una profesora inusual, creativa, divertida y despistada. Disfrutaba enseñando y sus alumnos aprendiendo.

Ahora se dedicaba a pintar y a escribir. Cada día escribía para sus blogs:
