Louis K. Lowy

A former firefighter, Louis sometimes feel as if he jumped from the fire into the frying pan when he took up writing as a means to fulfill his passion to create characters and worlds that he longed to inhabit or longed to avoid. He also plays bass guitar, though not as frequently—something’s gotta give when you write.

He is a recipient of a State of Florida Individual Artist Fellowship, his work has appeared in, among others, New Plains Review, The MacGuffin Magazine, and the anthologies Everything Is Broken, and Making Good Time. His first novel,

His latest release, DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE IN AMERICA is a continuation of the RL Stevenson's saga. Hyde grows more evil and Jekyll grows more desperate to put an end to his killing spree as they make their way across America. t

His other releases include DIE LAUGHING, a humorously dark sci-fi adventure set in the 1950s; the award winning PEDAL, the story of 49-year-old laid off elementary school music teacher who struggles to reclaim her life back through bicycle racing; and the award winning TO DREAM: ANATOMY OF A HUMACHINE, a sci-fi epic that centers around an A.I. searching for his humanity.

He is currently working on book II of ANATOMY OF A HUMACHINE.
