John Underwood

A brief biography:

John Underwood, pseudonym, was the name of one of Shakespeare's 'boon companions,' a member of the Globe Theater company and acting troupe, and very much Shakespeare's partner in crime. A direct descendant of the Elizabethan John Underwood was the American founder of the Underwood Typewriter Company, a fitting link in the family lineage. His daughter, Ada Underwood, was this author's great grandmother on his father's side.

The author has worked as a freelance journalist, documentary film producer, screenwriter, critic, and novelist. The author's real name, Gene (E.C.) Ayres, is listed elsewhere on Author Central and Amazon's other websites, and the reader can link between sites for further biographical information and other books or visit the author's website at www.geneayres.com
