John Into

John Into and Nancy Price are professional model makers based on Maryland's Eastern Shore. They have been married for 30 years. Both graduates of Boston University, they came to their home in the Chesapeake Bay in 1994 where they are now surrounded by water and everything related to it. In addition to model making and traveling to see boats, they enjoy spending time with their three goats, two cats and one dog.

John has been making models for 50 years; Nancy for nearly 20. They have made more than 300 models for major corporations, museums, naval architects, yacht clubs and private collectors throughout the world. Their models are highly sought after for their dimensional accuracy and intricacy.

John and Nancy design, and then create, each of the many parts that comprise their models from raw materials. Making each of their own parts assures high quality. In addition, although there are thousands of variations of boats in the world, they can make an accurate model of any one of them, because they don't have to rely upon what is available in kits or parts from other sources.

"Fundamentals of Model Boat Building" will teach you how to make your own models from scratch. It's writing is clear and easy to understand for the novice while providing useful information for the master model maker as well.It contains good information for kit-builders, too. Whether you prefer to make models of boats or anything else, you'll find that this book has a lot to offer.

John's favorite quote about their book, one they've heard often from readers at shows is, "Every serious model maker will eventually have this book in their library".
