Roy Baldwin

Roy Baldwin was born in West Lancashire and has lived and worked around the UK in various mathematical and scientific guises as an educationalist, civil servant, musician, house conservator and management consultant.

He is now a full-time writer, book designer and indie publisher, and regularly commentates on the book and publishing industry through Twitter. Books in the science themed Rhapsody fiction series are Rhapsody of Restraint, his debut book and the first Rhapsody novel, followed by Rhapsody of Power, Rhapsody of Fate, Rhapsody of Succession and Rhapsody of Moon.

Following a successful win for the NaNoWriMo2013 competition in which he conceived and wrote Mauveine, a contemporary ghost story, he published the novel on Kindle and in print and this has been followed by the sequel with historical fiction twists, Prism of Purpurine, conceived successfully during NaNoWriMo2014. Subsequently he has completed Morag, the third book in the Mauveine series and is currently busy researching, writing and designing book four, Flight for Fenella.

In between writing and digital publishing, Roy Baldwin also tries to enjoy the fabulous beauty of the Norfolk countryside and seashore where he now lives with his wife Corri.
