Dewey Edward Chester is a Los Angeles Professor of Screenwriting and the Author of the story, "BOOMER, A NOVEL." He has written seventeen books and been nominated by the Los Angeles Times newspaper for an "Excellence in Journalism Award," then named "The Los Angeles Professor of Screenwriting," an honorary title rarely noted by the newspaper's Hollywood Entertainment Division.
He has been nominated by the University of Pittsburgh as a "Distinguished Alumnus," and nominated for the prestigious "White House Fellowship for Journalism Award," sponsored by President Bill Clinton's Administration.
After completing a Baccalaureate Degree in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, Professor Chester spent three years playing professional football. He then served a decade as a distinguished corporate and academic Writer for the great state of Pennsylvania.
He enrolled in the University of California's professional writing program for Designated Study, and earned a "Doctoral Certification" in motion-picture adaptation in 1991.
His first novel, "Sex, Race and Professional Football," was listed as the second most read story in the great state of Ohio by the American Library Journal.
