Catherine Rayburn-Trobaugh

My name is Catherine Rayburn-Trobaugh, and I have been both an educator and writer for more than 20 years. I graduated from Wilmington College with a BA in English and went onto Wright State University where I earned a Master's in writing and literary criticism. I went on to teach part time at a number of colleges and universities in Ohio while I worked as a writer full time.

Now I'm combining my two passions in life--writing and teaching--with the Befuddled Students' Guides. Writing and researching these guides has truly been a pleasure and a challenge. My goal has been to make writing and literature accessible to all students, to give instructors a concise resource, and to allow the lay-person to expand his or her knowledge. These guides are written in easy to understand language with an interactive glossary and quiz to make it easy to navigate the guide without losing the train of thought. And what's even better--these guides are priced from .99 to 7.49.

Recently, I’ve been approached by others who want to write for the series, and in response I have started an e-publishing company: Word Branch Publishing. Soon, Word Branch will be by publishing diverse topics in the Befuddled series like law, real estate, and psychology. In the future, I will be opening it up to other genres and fields as well.
