Frank John Evans

I am a well-retired scientist/engineer with an intense curiosity about human nature, and have spent a lifetime solving more tangible problems. This colours my approach to the world in general. I have come to believe that our unique self-awareness is a direct result of our having language, and I like to think that Descartes famous dictum should be 'I speak therefore I am'.

My short book -Our Way with Words - explores this idea, the available evidence, and some of the implications which could,I feel, well form the basis for a new platform from which to explore our humanity.
