Carl L. Adams

Carl Adams is a retired United States Navy Logistics Specialist with over thirty-five years of service. He has also served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He served aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Independence as a Flight Deck Troubleshooter and also flew with the 711th Special Operations Squadron as an Aerial Gunner. His last duty station was Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, and was assigned to the Joint Depot Maintenance Activities Group. For eleven years his assignment was in a joint technology service unit, interfacing with all the military, industry, government laboratories, NASA, and academia. Their mission was seeking improved methods for cost effective enhancements of U.S. military weapon system sustainability. Since 1999 he has been engaged in dedicated jail and prison ministry, spanning into ten different correctional institutions, including Ohio Death Row. Most of his ministry is concentrated within five institutions. He instructs life skills mentoring classes, serves as a detention center chaplain, is an inmate mentor, and is also a certified chaplain with a major church denomination chaplain's commission. And, for fun he roller skates three to four times most weeks.
