Ruby H. Happel-Holtz was born in the rural community of Mt. Vernon, Indiana. She attended the Mt. Vernon High School, Lock-years Business College, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago Art Institute, Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, IN, and the Community College of Brevard County, Fla. She retired from a career in Space Technology at Cape Kennedy, Fla., Interior Design and Market Research in 1996 to research her Blackfeet and Cherokee Heritage. Ruby is an accomplished artist, and the noted author of two published books; “The Unconquered Hearts”, and “On Wings of Change”, and a soon to be publish children’s to adult book titled “Kool Kat Charlie of Cocoa Beach.” She is the mother of four, grandmother t 9 and great grandmother to six, and resides in the rural community of Amargosa Valley, Nevada.
