Amber Housey

Amber grew up in Michigan. She holds a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching. After teaching elementary school for many years, she now stays home raising her family and writing books. She is also active in the charity her husband founded called Building Bridges (www.buildingbridgescharity.org).

As a teacher, she was always trying to find ways to teach difficult concepts to her students. Teaching empathy can be an abstract concept for children to learn. Flip Side Stories was created from a desire to teach children to see things from another point of view and inspire empathy and compassion for others in the children and adults who read her books.
