Doreen Tamminga

Doreen Tamminga is the author of numerous short children's stories, many of which appear in the children's magazine, Open Windows. Her inspiration for writing comes from her years as an elementary school teacher, memories of her own childhood, and most heavily these days, from the seven young children which fill her home with joyful confusion! The desire and clarity to write come from her Creator and Saviour who gives strength for each new day and joy in a story well-told.

A collection of her stories can be found in "Wait Till You See the Butterfly," a book that puts hands and feet on what living a Christian life is like for a child, with all its bumps and bruises, joys and worries!
