Jane Reville, a retired teacher, quilter and author resides in St Mary's County, Maryland with her husband and Tilley, her Havanese. Living on the Chesapeake Bay, she has a passion for its historical treasures. Everyday, Jane, her husband and Tilley walk near history that is in their backyard. Sparked by a privateer sunk in Bodkin Creek in the War of 1812, Jane loves to bring history to life by using two playful ravens, the main characters in her books for children. She had the opportunity to hone her writing skills while attending workshops in Lewis Carroll's carriage house. Growing up in Baltimore with its upheavals and living in England with its cultural differences and the impact tragedies have in her life, evolved into insightful memoirs.
