Bruce H Kubec

Bruce H. Kubec was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 18, 1952. His father, Henry (Hank) worked at the Union Switch & Signal in Swissvale, while his mother, Erma (Sis) was a stay-at-home mom.

After a career in bank data processing Bruce retired and started his gift basket business. Under his direction the company grew to 8th largest in the country. After selling the business at the end of 2009, Bruce took the advice of family members and started his writing career.

Bruce's first book, The Stesti Gift, took 10 weeks to write the first draft. Five months later it was available on Amazon.

Bruce's second book in the series, The POP, is going through copy-editing. He expects it will be available on Amazon in the fall of 2012.

He's currently working on the third book in the series, The TEAM.

Many people ask Bruce where he likes to write. Home? Libraty? Local park? His answer surprises everyone. He has two of them. First is his office at home. Which is not surprise. His dogs Ralph and Alice often lay at his feet while he's typing away on his laptop. His second favorite spot is the local Burger King restaurant. He likes sitting at the corner table, next to the window, where he can watch the parking lot and see the street. Often, when Bruce is stumped for an idea or a word, he'll gaze out the window until the solution 'Pops' into his head.

Bruce has a total of 10 planned for the Stesti Mystery Novel series. You can see a synopsis of each book on his web site - www.BruceHKubec.com. One of the 10 commandantments is the basis for each of the 10 books. Thou Shalt Not Kill, Thou Shalt Not Steal, . . . . . you get the idea.

There's also a second series of 7 books planned that feature a totally different set of characters with different personalities. This second series features Corky Calhoun and his assistant Hector. Corky awakes in an alley one night and can't remember who he is or how he got there. While Corky and Hector work on finding out who Corky is, they encounter some pretty mean people. Keep an eye out for the debut of the Corky Calhoun series. Bruce hopes to have the first one on Amazon in 2013.
