John Dewey Stahl has known the Scriptures since a child, and also has studied scripture in both college and seminary, having graduated from Eastern Mennonite Seminary with a Master in Arts in Religion degree. John's other degrees are a BS in Math and Chemistry from Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) , an MA in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Michigan. He studied chemistry at Virginia Tech. He studied geology at EMU and at James Madison University.
John is a retired educator, administrator, pastor, and consultant. He taught at Johnstown Mennonite School, the University of Pittsburgh, Eastern Mennonite University, and an extension course for the University of Virginia. He taught both chemistry and geology at EMU. He has written and contributed to the publication of Planning and Data System manuals for small colleges. He has helped over 100 colleges develop management information systems. He loves nature as God created it. He has published Metamorphosis: Johnny Meets John. He is married to Susan Leaman, and is the father of three adult children and grandfather of two boys and a girl.
