Alexander Flint, a native New Yorker, is a retired physical education teacher, and former coach of gymnastics, swimming, and golf. He received a B.S. from Long Island University in 1962 and an M.A. from Kean University in 1975. In addition, he attended New York Law School. Flint is a New York City transplant in Hollywood Beach, FL.
In addition to his career in education, Flint is a retired military officer serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. After retiring from teaching, Flint activated himself in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Balkan War and was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence.
After retirement, Flint became a writer. He astonished the literary world when, at the age of seventy-three, won a bronze medal at the Miami International Book Fair from Reader's Favorite Book Reviewers. This was for his autobiography, Highway Odyssey. In addition, he won the CIBA award for his cruise ship based short stories, Tales From the Sea.

He has a second degree black belt in Taekwondo. Among Flint's interests are cycling, swimming, photography. birding, golf, kayaking, and world travel. He is an animal lover and supporter of marine life conservation.
