Mr. Carleton K. Montgomery

Carleton Montgomery is the executive director of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, an advocacy and public education organization devoted to preserving the resources of the New Jersey Pinelands. In this position, he is deeply involved in the Pinelands protection program, one of the country's most robust and successful regional land use planning initiatives. Carleton graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in 1981, received an M.Phil. in philosophy from University College London, and received a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to joining the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, he practiced law as a litigation partner with the firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.
