....FENMAN - Last Stronghold is available....

For an update on future publications look up the RAVENFEAST (see web addresses below). There's a link on the Northworld Site to bring you back here or to the RAVENFEAST SERIES page. There is also a link to the Jorvik Viking Centre in York to find out dates and events, particularly the Jorvik Viking Festival each February. Last year the festival celebrated the 1,000 years since Knut Sveinsson became king of England in late 1016. The Jorvik Viking Centre in York has been refurbished after flooding in December 2015

The books in the series follow on from one another as Ivar relates them, beginning with RAVENFEAST, that sets the scene in September, 1066 near York. Next in line is OVERTHROWN, OUTCAST, BETRAYED, WAYFARER and LANDWASTER. The next follow-up, 'FENMAN, Last Stronghold' has been published - see this page again within the week for the cover to appear in the bibliography here. See also the RAVENFEAST series page, http://hubpages.com/literature/THE-RAVENFEAST-SERIES for the cover spread of the new book and updates. There's a link on that page that will bring you back here (don't I look after you?).

Hello, I am Alan Lancaster, author of the RAVENFEAST saga series. You will be familiar with the first three books, 'RAVENFEAST', 'OVERTHROWN' and 'OUTCAST'. Book four 'BETRAYED - The Net Tightens' joined the RAVENFEAST saga in April, 2014 available in paperback and uploaded to Amazon Kindle. Buy the paperback editions if you are unfamiliar with the background, terminology and geography of the books in the 'RAVENFEAST' saga series for the historical notes, background and map - unavailable in the KDP version.

There's a review of RAVENFEAST by Christoph Fischer on the Historical Novel Society's website:

[***I would recommend you buy the New Generation edition of RAVENFEAST, as the book was re-edited since publishing through Authorhouse. The newer edition is the improved version, not only because of that, but there is a bigger map in the re-published edition and a pronunciation guide to help understand how the place names and terminology 'work' (makes the reading easier as well). It's also half the price of the original edition***]

If you're around in the south-east of England in mid-October this year why not come to the Battle Abbey re-enactment weekend, Battle Abbey near Hastings, 15th -16th October, 2016. See the event box below.

On Hub-pages there's the RAVENFEAST page that will take you through the saga, book-by-book along with future projects, visit (no need to add 'www') alancaster149.hubpages.com/hub/The-Ravenfeast-Series with a link to the Northworld Saga Site. Take a day out at the next re-enactment at Battle Abbey near Hastings in October 2015, the nearest weekend to the 14th. Time enough to plan your visit to li'l old England.

Pride of place has to be my NORTHWORLD SAGA Site through Webeden, www.northworldsagasite.webeden.co.uk. See me also on Twitter, LinkedIn and now also www.mybookbuzz.com/alan-robert-lancaster

The family is strewn between London, Leeds, Teesside, Dortmund and Vienna. Elder daughter Joanne now lives on another planet. Only joking, she's moved to South East London, and will soon begin training as a primary school teacher in September, 2016. Sorry, cricket fans. In Dortmund, Germany son Robert is close to graduating to teach English as a second language. In Austria younger daughter Suzy is about halfway through her PhD in applied physics at the Technical University in central Vienna.

Kath, my wife of some years does talks on London's history for groups in the surrounding area and West Essex.

Watch this space.
