Jonathan Harrison

Jonathan is a Chartered Accountant, experienced in quoted and unquoted companies, acquisitions and disposals, and listing of companies on AIM. 16 years with Intercontinental Hotels where he had executive finance roles and integrated Grand Metropolitan Hotels into Intercontinental, followed by 7 years in the Boddington Group developing Village Leisure hotels. Jonathan broke loose into the entrepreneurial world completing a £92m MBI of 25 hotels with a successful exit 22 months later, becoming an Angel investor. He invested seed capital into UK Explorer which he assisted through the dot com boom and bust and successfully exited in 2005. He listed Sirius Minerals Plc in 2005 with a market cap of £2m and stepped down in 2011 when the market cap was more than £150m and now take-over by Anglo American. As Finance Director that listed Wishbone Gold Plc on AIM in 2012 with a market cap of £4m and now a Non Executive Director (NED) and looking for more NED roles.

I have a photographic website with 6,000 of selected photographs from around the world out over a library of over 60,000 photographs taken during my extensive travels. Most recent additions are India and Vietnam.

Jonathan published his biography "Life's Hop, Skip and a Jump" with photographs from around the world in March 2016 through Author House and is available form Amazon and good book shops.

Jonathan also published "A Career in Hospitality" in December 2012 available from any Amazon website. This is essential reading for anyone considering a career in or change in career to the hospitality industry and/or taking an overseas assignment. It all started in Tehran, Iran in 1972! This book outlines the lessons learned during his living and travelling overseas as well as the lessons learned from being hands on in the hospitality industry. He has experience of hotels of all star ratings, lodges, pubs, restaurants, pub restaurants, casinos, golf courses, conference centres, event and airport catering, nursing homes and day surgeries.

Jonathan published "Angels & Entrepreneurs" through Ecademy Press (now Panoma Press) in October 2011. This is a self help handbook, and essential reading for any Entrepreneur researching how and where to raise capital from and for anyone considering Angel investing, the tax benefits and which organisations to approach to access opportunities. It also has a check list of areas to review during due diligence.
