Michael L. Gooch

Growing up in isolated rural Arkansas, Michael, like his father, developed a love affair with the written word. A combination of extensive reading and an over-active imagination combined to create the need to write. Most of his life was focused on family and career but he eventually found the time to express his passion. As an author of both business books and fiction novels, he displays a wide range of knowledge and interests.

Michael is the former Corporate Director of Human Resources for a fortune 50 company. Prior to this, he worked in a variety of human resources positions at several locations for Pilgrim's Pride Company, ConAgra Foods and most recently, Perdue Farms. Michael has also held managerial positions in Ladish Company, Armco Steel, Morton, Del Monte USA, RJR, Tiffany Furniture and Prescolite. In addition to operating an independent consulting practice, Mr. Gooch previously held a consulting position for Traveler's Insurance.

Through the years, Michael has won numerous eminent industry and governmental awards in leadership, teamwork, and safety. Michael has authored articles on a variety of management topics and is the author of the 2008 book Wingtips with Spurs in the Lessons from the Ranch series. This work was published by Multi Media Publication. In 2012, he entered the fiction arena with the Amazon Kindle publication of Voodoo Fever.
