Joseph W. Joiner (1965- )was born in Wichita, Kansas, to parents of Irish and Swedish descent. At age 5, his family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he grew up in the shadow of America's mountain, Pikes Peak. He married his high-school sweetheart in 1986 and had two children, Jennifer Leigh (24) and Jacob Ryan (21), before divorcing in 1994. He met his current wife, Paula, that same year and they married in 1995.
They have three children, Joseph Paul (15), Emily Shae (13), and Eleta Alexandra (7).
He and his family currently reside in Colorado Springs, not far from the house where he grew up and his mother still lives.
Joe is an avid board-game collector, with over 500 titles in his library. He loves reading, seeing good movies, and riding his motorcycle through the mountains.
Chill Wind is his first published book, but he has plans for many more, including the sequel and prequel to Chill Wind and his science fiction epic that he has been working on for almost 20 years.
