Kathleen A. Michon

Kathleen Michon, J.D., is an author and legal editor for Nolo.com, the country's most trusted provider of plain-English legal information for nonlawyers. Kathleen contributes to and edits Nolo's bankruptcy, debt, and credit repair books. She also writes, edits, and manages content for Nolo's website as well as several other Nolo-affiliated bankruptcy websites.

Prior to joining Nolo's editorial staff, Kathleen was the Directing Attorney of Public Counsel's Consumer Rights Project. Her legal experience also includes representing inmates on death row and mediating Small Claims Court cases.

Kathleen received a B.A. from Yale University and a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
