Charles Wilkinson

Charles Wilkinson is a writer, teacher, and life-long Memphian. His father once employed Elvis's father, in one of Vernon Presley's rare forays into the world of work. (There it is: the Memphian's "de rigeur" Elvis anecdote, and the last time you will hear anything about Elvis in Wilkinson's writing.) His first novel, "Ghost of a Chance," garnered a review in Memphis Magazine in which Wilkinson was deemed "a writer of real talent," and his second, "Stalker," a surreal black comedy involving a slip-prone AA member vacillating between cynicism and poignancy while attempting to rid himself of something noxious stuck to him like epoxy resin (phew, if that's not clear), is here offered for sale at a ridiculously low price, as well as a number of short stories, purchasable with pocket change.
