Casey Renee LeVasseur is a Los Angeles-born writer, artist and storyteller whose work spans books, podcasts, music and the spaces in between. Raised on old films, live music and killer lyrics, she found her voice early - scribbling angsty poetry and offbeat short stories while obsessively studying her favorite songs and movie lines. The daughter of Hall of Fame songwriter Jeffrey Steele, Casey grew up immersed in the music industry, but it was always the words that pulled her in.
In 2011, she released her debut novel Silence & Noise: one girl’s journey into insanity, a raw, coming-of-age story centered on mental illness and identity. An outspoken advocate for mental health, Casey uses her work to challenge stigma and connect through honesty. That same intention carries through in her podcast Wander, a collection of short stories about the human condition, and its companion print editions.
Now based in Nashville, Casey splits her time between writing, artist development and co-fronting the folky pop-rock duo silence X noise with fellow songwriter Kurtis John. Whether through books, lyrics, or storytelling workshops, her mission is clear: to tell stories that matter and help others do the same.
