I'm a writer who is completely devoted to my inner voice. I don't write to sell books or impress people but to connect with them, and myself, in a way that is unique and vital. In my work, I am interested in doing everything possible to capture the elusive, magical, ineffable quality of life -- something which speaks to a truth we all share but find difficulty describing.
I'm a produced playwright in both New York and Los Angeles and a winner of the Kernodle New Playwriting Award for the play, Detective Nicky Carruthers is Dead. I am the writer/director of the feature film, The Lounge People, starring Buck Henry and Amanda Plummer. I've been a contributing editor to The Pasadena Weekly as well as other publications and have taught screenwriting in Beirut, Lebanon for Cinephilia Productions and at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. I have an M.F.A. in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Currently, I live in Pasadena, California.
