Terri Thompson

The rich heritage of West Virginia has been in the author’s blood for generations and is woven through the threads of her stories. Her ancestors labored in the coal mines, and her grandparents were original homesteaders in Roosevelt’s New Deal Project – the small town of Arthurdale. An obsession with genealogy as an adult and years of “Grandma, tell me about the old days” as a child, lend her stories a true sense of the simplicity of Appalachian living.

The author resides in Moorefield, West Virginia with her family. She teaches eighth-grade reading classes and selfishly uses teenagers as research for her story ideas.
