Evelyn Walsh

I am a middle aged Mammy from North County Dublin in Ireland who likes writing, loves reading,gardening, knitting and chatting - oh!- and the odd glass (or bottle) of good red wine with good friends. I like to write about people, to analyse the whys and the wherfores of how any one of us ordinary human beings can act given a certain set of -perhaps extraordinary - circumstances. I am a firm believer in 'it all goes back to the nest', in other words the first four years of our lives are what shape us.I idolise children, so much so that I dress up as a Queen (as you do) call myself the Story Queen and visit local libraries on Saturdays to read to the under 7's. The love I get back from these tots is incredible - it puts me in great humour. I believe if you hook them young on the power of the story you have given them a friend for life. I write primarily adult fiction but have a few children's books fermenting at the moment!I hope you enjoy my writing.
